Luka Doncic: Precious Help for the Dallas Superstar

Updated: Dec 13, 2023

Basketball player Luka Doncic

In basketball, as in any other sport, when a trade is announced, the fans of the team affected by the change are filled with hope and enthusiasm. Each time, it is rumored that this is possibly the piece that was missing for the club to achieve new levels of success. Do you remember when the Montreal Canadiens managed to get their hands on the coveted Tomas Vanek in 2014? Ultimately, the Austrian player did not turn out to be the missing piece to the puzzle, but nothing can change the enthusiasm that the athlete has aroused just by his mere presence in the metropolis.

Game-changing exchanges, such game changers, like when Raymond Bourque joined the Colorado Avalanche, happen rarely because usually, teams in any sport secure the services of their outstanding players for many years. However, on February 5th , the NBA was shaken by the trade of one of its stars.

Kyrie Irving was traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Dallas Mavericks.

Within the Texan training, the native athlete from Melbourne, Australia, joined another star Luka Doncic Similar to when Peter Forsberg came from the Flyers to join his eternal sidekick, the great Joe Sakic, this trade will certainly be a game-changer. Individually, both Doncic and Irving can change the pace of the game. Imagine when two exceptional players find themselves wearing the same colors. Even if we only hear about, and with good reason, the exploits of LeBron James, it is important not to look up at the other teams on the circuit – including the Dallas Mavericks – who will be even more formidable in the future. I don't know about you, but I'm already looking forward to the NBA basketball playoffs starting on April 15, because in the end, there's no better way than the championships to determine whether a trade has borne fruit.

Sometimes, you have to "Go Big or Go Home."
